What is an administrative hearing?
Return to Video FAQsTranscript:
An administrative hearing is a forum overseen by an administrative law judge. Usually in such a hearing, a government agency is seeking to discipline someone’s license. For example, if you’re a teacher, a government agency will ask for a final hearing, in order to impose some type of disciplinary action on somebody’s license. In such a hearing, the person who is accused of some violation has an opportunity to defend themselves in front of an administrative law judge.
