Well that depends on which insurance company. You do have a duty to cooperate under your contract with your auto insurance carrier. So you should give them a recorded statement. However, the other insurance carrier for the bad guy or the negligent driver, absolutely not. And before giving any statement, I really recommend that you consult with an attorney.
