The Marchman Act is set up to assist families and loved ones in helping individuals with drug abuse issues that rise to a certain level. The Baker Act is a statute that is geared towards those individuals that have mental health illness or are intellectually disabled and they aren’t able to care for themselves or may be a threat to themselves or others.
